Our History
Origin and Foundation of the Hotel
The Hotel Árbol de Fuego was founded on February 10, 2001. Before becoming a hotel, the project began as a tea room built on a vacant lot, where small events were held for approximately four years.
Its founder, Doña Teresa González , became interested in the hotel industry after attending cooking courses for tea rooms and small hotels, which motivated her to research, seek advice and begin the construction of the hotel.
The hotel opened its doors with 9 rooms under the name Árbol de Fuego (Fire Tree ), inspired by this emblematic tropical tree that poetically symbolizes the identity and warmth of the Salvadoran people.
Located in Antiguo Cuscatlán , one of the best areas of San Salvador, the hotel is close to shopping centers, museums, Zona Rosa, the United States Embassy, industrial areas, banks, restaurants and pupuserías, and is only 45 minutes from the International Airport.

Pioneer Eco-Hotel in El Salvador
Árbol de Fuego is one of El Salvador's first eco-hotels , combining sustainable practices with city conveniences. Located in San Salvador, it offers a tranquil tropical setting surrounded by gardens, yet close to the city's main attractions.
While enjoying the proximity to the capital, you can relax in a natural refuge that reflects harmony, rest and respect for the environment.
History
Árbol de Fuego began as a family project focused on creating a relaxing space that blends hospitality, Salvadoran culture, and respect for nature. Located in one of the most peaceful areas of San Salvador, the hotel was conceived as an urban retreat where every detail reflects identity, warmth, and environmental commitment.
Over time, Árbol de Fuego has established itself as a boutique eco-hotel, integrating architecture, local art, and living gardens to offer an authentic, mindful experience with personalized service.

Our Operations
Árbol de Fuego operates on the eco-hotel concept, an environmentally responsible accommodation that implements green living practices in every area. Through an eco-efficiency plan , we aim to produce more with fewer resources, reducing pollution and optimizing energy and water use.
Our goal is to support sustainable development by promoting more responsible, innovative, and competitive operations. Thanks to this approach, the hotel was recognized as a success story in the Energy Efficiency Program for Small Hotels in El Salvador, Nicaragua, and Costa Rica (PEEST V), developed by the NGO BUN-CA , and is a member of the Small Hotels Association of El Salvador .
